The Tweed Heads South Public School difference

We've saved your child a seat and we’ve got their back.

We know your child and their story before they've even walked in. We rebuilt the school in 2024 with exactly that in mind we have purposely designed new classrooms, a new library and preschool to help our students grow their confidence. Families here don't wait for a report card to find out how their kid's going, you’ll get stopped in person, by a teacher who wants to tell you something good. Whatever your family looks like, whatever language gets spoken at your dinner table, there's already a chair pulled out for you. We make school feel like home and work hard to make sure everyone belongs.

Nobody has to ask twice for help.

Our teachers plan learning and additional opportunities to help children thrive. The quieter student who's finding their voice, the one who finished the work early and needs more of it, the one who just needs a hand walking in on a hard morning. That might look like extra support. It might look like stretching a child further, with high potential and gifted opportunities. Either way, nobody's waiting in line for help. Our staff go out of their way to look out for you.

Big dreams start small. We help students find their way there.

A child who starts here doesn't just start school, they start a sport, a choir, a stage under the lights for public speaking or dance, and a local community. And when high school comes around, they don't have to start again. Tweed River High School is right next door, sharing a fence, so what begins here in preschool can carry a child all the way through to Year 12 and beyond without a big leap in between. We believe in inspiring children early, to dream big, think about their future and we help them find real pathways to get there.
