On Sunday the 20thOctober the Les Peterkin Portrait Exhibition was officially opened. Students, Teachers and families from our school were at the official opening ready to view the art works and congratulate the prize winners. The competition received over 3000 entries and Tweed Heads South Public school was well represented in the exhibition with Joe Poloie receiving the Friends Encouragement Award and having his work framed and on display in the gallery. We also had seven other students have their work on display in the folder section. This is a great achievement for all our prize winners as only 38 artworks were chosen for the wall and only 200 for the folder section.
Congratulations to Jorja, Bodhi, Theodore, Bianca, Lara, Lachlan, Mimmi and Joe.
