K-1W have not been able to contain their excitement over the past couple of weeks with the introduction of the XO computers into the classroom. They have been exploring them with enthusiasm, and even teaching Mrs Ware and Mrs Stanford a few things! So far we have used them to publish some stories, take photos of our school environment (and some selfies - a few girls had to teach Mr Reeson what they were!), sight word practise in reading groups, making it speak to us and watching videos of Australian animals. We are looking forward to browsing on the internet, sending emails, using them for mathematics activities and drawing pictures of the Australian animals we are learning about. We can't wait until the other classes have theirs so we can start sharing our work with them!
