What’s been happening in K-1W?

K-1W have been learning about our local environment and Australian animals this term.

We have enjoyed studying some of the Australian animals we can find in our local environment and writing about them, and are very eager to keep the school grounds litter free after learning about the effect it can have on birds and sea life. We also collected various recycable materials to create our very own creature! We can't wait to visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary later in the term to see all the Australian animals in real life. We may even get to feed some kangaroos or birds and pat a koala or even a snake!
