1-2C were absolutely full of smiles and cheers last week at our Tweed Heads South Easter Hat Parade. Many students put in a huge effort to create unique Easter hat and join in on the fun of the event. After a number of wonderful weeks of learning, Mr. E. Bunny paid a well-deserved visit to the school library leaving each class member of 1-2C with a basket full of scrumptious eggs! He must have been very impressed!
Over the past few weeks, 1-2C have commenced engaging in ‘Must-do' and ‘Can-do' literacy stations. These stations allow the students to have a choice in the activities they participate in each day. Each week, ten literacy activities are carefully selected to suit the learning needs of the class.
The students must complete the six ‘must-do' stations before they can engage in the four ‘cando' activities. The stations have been a real hit with the class. "I love getting to the can-do stations as fast as I can so I can do the fun activities" said Nicholas.
It has been an eventful Term 1 for 1-2C. I look forward to continuing the wonderful learning throughout Term 2.
