Singing together is fun, but writing your own songs and singing together is even more fun - and rewarding!
The Australian Children's Music Foundation would like to congratulate Tweed South PS on our achievement in the 2015 National Songwriting Competition. We are extremely proud of the result and to have been selected by the highly esteemed panel of judges whose job was made even more difficult because of the high standard of the entries that were received.
The song "Jingern-Jingiwalah" was written in Bundjalung by year one and two at Tweed Heads South PS with the assistance of Mr Dave Nicholls and Ms Kelly Castles. It has won the songwriting award - 1st prize in the K-2 category for the composition. Congratulations to all involved. The information and link to their song is below. A tremendous achievement.
