Preschool are enjoying reading and learning about traditional fairy tales and this week we read The Three Billy Goats Gruff. A bridge was created over our preschool riverbed and we made some masks so that we could recreate the story and act out the characters. Each child took turns to be one of the characters to perform and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the performance. They learnt about characters, changing their voice to “be” the character, taking turns as well as the sequencing of a story. We will continue to read a variety of fairy tales this term and look forward to performing them in preschool.
