You would have thought it was Christmas Day as Stage 3 students received their XO computers last Friday. It was a very exciting time with all students having a smile that stretched from ear to ear as they unpacked their very own computer.
No sooner had they unpacked them, students had navigated their way around the operating system and started investigating and sharing all the functions that they had found. Students were eager to start the following week using their XO computers in Literacy and Numeracy sessions and even in their lunch breaks.
5/6B has also been learning about Antarctica, the weather, and in English they have been exploring texts which have had the themes of survival, sustainability and the environment.
One text we have looked at closely is the picture book, Flood by Jackie French which is based on the 2011 Queensland.
