Our NAIDOC assembly will start on the basketball court at 9:15am with a traditional smoking ceremony and welcome to country. Our ATSI dance students will be performing for the first time and as a special treat they will be joined by the entire school for a performance. The Kingscliff High Dance Group will also perform alongside Torres Strait Islander man Rebes.

Activity rotations will take place in the middle of the day with Solid Mob. Activities will include health talks, Bundjalung Fitness and The Gold Coast AFL Suns delivering fun and interactive sessions.

Students will receive a sausage sizzle with beef hotdogs and a fruit popper of either apple or orange juice. Students will also have the opportunity to sample kangaroo and emu sausages. Please advise the school if your child has any allergies to these foods.

To finish our celebrations with a bang our NAIDOC Film Festival will be rolling out the red carpet, showing films that the students have been making with our Aboriginal Education Officer, Tom Avery.

Students will have time during the 2nd break to change into their finest attire, fancy dress or their favourite super hero to attend the film premier.
