Gretal French – Educational Leader and Supervisor 

Gretal is a university qualified teacher with specialist training in Early Childhood Education. Preschool teaching is her passion because she believes in giving all children the best start in life. Gretal enjoys building the life and learning skills of our Preschoolers as she feels there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s confidence and independence blossom. Gretal is always looking for new opportunities to enhance her knowledge and skills with further learning in her field. She wishes her own garden received as much love and care as the Preschool’s beautiful gardens do.

Amanda Ellem – Educator

‘Miss Mandy’ is a University qualified Teacher with training and experience in Early Childhood Education. She loves teaching, is enthusiastic, and is constantly learning new ideas to promote children’s learning and development. ‘Miss Mandy’ believes in the importance of nurturing and inspiring children to succeed in an ever-changing world and set them up as lifelong learners.

‘Miss Mandy’ prides herself on her ability to build the children’s independence and self-confidence, foster their love of nature and protection of our environment and to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. She enjoys providing a fun and stimulating play-based learning environment for ALL children while promoting the development of ‘School Readiness’ skills in preparation for school. Most importantly ‘Miss Mandy’ loves building productive and positive relationships with the children and their families. 

 

Jacki Burton – School Learning Support Officer

Jacki believes developing early literacy and numeracy skills in young children is vital for their future learning and looks after our library of books, games and maths resources families can borrow. In her spare time you’ll find Jacki curled up with a book, or down at the beach with her family.

 

Tyler Buchanan - School Learning Support Officer 

Miss Tyler is committed to creating an engaging and nurturing environment where children can explore, discover, and grow to their full potential. The joy of seeing their eyes light up when they grasp a new concept or skill is immensely rewarding. Miss Tyler is passionate about early learning as she believes in the profound impact early education has on a child's future. Her passion drives her to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in early childhood. She loves learning new skills, which helps her bring fresh, innovative approaches to the classroom, ensuring that each child receives the best start on their educational journey. Miss Tyler prides herself on building meaningful and positive relationships with the children and families to foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
