K-1W are starting NAIDOC celebrations early by creating some Aboriginal inspired artworks. During our HSIE unit Meeting Needs, the children have been looking at their own needs and wants, as well as the needs and wants of other living things. They looked at Australian animals, and how their needs are similar and different to their own needs. The Aboriginal artwork was inspired by the Australian animal the kangaroo, and the children used the technique of Dot Painting to create their masterpieces! You will be able to enjoy our creations displayed around the hall during NAIDOC week!
