Olympic Fever!

The students of 3-4R have been learning about ‘The Olympics' in HSIE and have had the fortunate opportunity of being able to watch the games live! Students have been cheering on their favourite athletes, creating Olympic artworks and have been researching and learning about the different sports in the Olympics, athletes and countries that participate. Students are learning how to use Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher to create a presentation and poster about the Olympics.

3-4R have taken part in an exciting inquiry topic ‘Package it better' in science. The students have been investigating different materials and are developing an understanding of its properties. The students have been working very hard together and have used team building, communication and construction skills to create a triangular structure from cardboard.

The students have been working on their public speaking speeches this term. Congratulations to all students who presented their speeches. It was very difficult to choose our final six students as our finalists to present their speeches to the school. Congratulations to our winners, in particular Lachlan who was selected to present his speech at Murwillumbah High School and our runner up Jaydah.
