As part of our science unit, Schoolyard Safari, 1-2A have been learning about the different animals and bugs we can find in the environment. We brainstormed and predicted what we might find in our schoolyard and then we ventured out into the playground to explore different areas that we thought different animals might be. We recorded what we had found and discussed why we would find these animals in these areas. Each group compared their findings. We found ants, lady birds, beetles and spiders. Over the term we will be exploring a range of different bugs more closely including, worms, snails and ants.
