1-2C has been extremely lucky this term to have a parent helper. Ms Katie Hotko came in to complete some fantastic art work with the class. Ms Hotko has demonstrated to the children some great skills in how to use different colours to blend and create art masterpieces! During this visit from Ms Hotko, the students completed a portrait of an owl sitting on a branch. They have learnt about colour wheels and why certain colours, when blended, go brown. Many students from 1-2C have shown future artist skills!
Brushing our teeth has been a topic 1-2C has enjoyed talking about. We were lucky enough to receive a great set of toothbrushes, videos and posters to help us learn about personal hygiene. Firstly, we talked about the correct way to brush our teeth. The students then demonstrated to Miss Castles how they brush their teeth. To finish off, the students completed a writing task on the topic, explaining the importance of personal hygiene.
1-2C are looking forward to engaging in some great new topics in Term 3, and sharing some ‘super cool' (as Jarrah says), new art experiences with Ms Hotko. A big thank you to all the staff, students, parents and teachers for a fabulous Term!
